Bureaus
The Cayuga County District Attorney's Office is made up of specialized bureaus to assist our community in receiving the help they need. If you have a matter you'd like to discuss in any of the below areas, please reach out to the staff member(s) listed.
Major Crimes Unit
The Major Crimes Unit is responsible for investigating and prosecuting burglaries, robberies, assaults, prison assaults, and larcenies, arsons.
Homicide, Violent Crimes and Narcotics Unit
Protecting the citizens of Cayuga County from violence is the primary function of the Homicide, Violent Crimes, and Narcotics Unit.
Special Victims Unit
The Special Victims Unit prosecutes crimes against the most vulnerable residents of Cayuga County, including children, the elderly, and those affected by domestic violence.
Appeals and Legal Affairs Unit
The Legal Affairs Bureau handles appellate advocacy for the Office and serves as a research center for all of the Office's Assistant District Attorneys.

Financial Crimes Unit
The Financial Crimes Unit prosecutes a wide variety of cases, including mortgage fraud, counterfeiting, embezzlement, tax evasion, failure to pay a prevailing wage and insurance fraud.
Vehicular Crimes Unit
The Vehicular Crimes Unit prosecutes all felony crimes under the Vehicle and Traffic Law in Cayuga County.
