Grand Jury Hands Up Indictments in Multiple Felony Arrests

Auburn, NY - District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced today that the Cayuga County Grand Jury voted indictments against multiple individuals.


Rashaan INGRAM, 33, of Poughkeepsie, New York, and Daniell RAY, 38, of Auburn, New York were indicted by a Cayuga County Grand Jury on one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, a Class A-I Felony and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Class B Felonies, following the execution of several search warrants on January 5, 2024. The indictment alleges that both INGRAM and RAY knowingly possessed more than 800 grams of cocaine with the intent to sell. Both defendants were immediately taken into custody by members of the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force after a lengthy investigation into the sale of narcotic drugs. INGRAM faces a maximum prison sentence of approximately 40 years if convicted and RAY faces approximately 30 years if convicted. Both individuals remain remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail pending arraignment before County Court at a date to be determined.


Chadd CLARK, 38, of Dryden Town, New York, was indicted by a Cayuga County Grand Jury on one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class C Armed Violent Felony, following a call for a fight inside of the Genoa Hotel. The indictment alleges that CLARK knowingly possessed a loaded and operable .40 caliber handgun. CLARK is not allowed to legally possess a firearm in the State of New York. CLARK was taken into custody following an investigation by members of the New York State Police and remanded to the custody of the Cayuga County Jail pending arraignment before County Court at a date to be determined. CLARK faces 15 years of imprisonment if convicted after trial.


Abraham PATTERSON, 33, of Auburn, New York was indicted by a Cayuga County Grand Jury on two counts of Driving While Intoxicated, Class E Felonies, one count of Driving While Ability Impaired by Combined Influence of Drugs and Alcohol, a Class E Felony, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A misdemeanor, following a traffic stop on November 1, 2023.  PATTERSON is also currently pending sentence on a charge of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a Class A misdemeanor, from February of 2023, in Auburn City Court.  He faces a maximum prison sentence of 4 years.


Edwin ROBERTS, 42, of Auburn, New York was indicted by a Cayuga County Grand Jury on one count of Burglary in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony and one count of Petit Larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, following his arrest on December 19, 2023.  ROBERTS remains remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail pending a Parole hearing.  He faces a maximum prison sentence of 7 years.

 

Lenaysia MYLES, 32, of Syracuse, New York, was indicted by a Cayuga County Grand Jury on one count of Assault in the Second Degree, a Class D Violent Felony, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, following a call for a fight on Bostwick Avenue. The indictment alleges that MYLES intentionally caused physical injury to the victim by repeatedly swinging a sock with a hard metal object inside at the victim, hitting the victim in the head. MYLES was arrested and is pending arraignment before County Court at a date to be determined. She was released at Centralized Arraignment by the presiding judge over the objection of the District Attorney’s Office. MYLES faces 7 years of imprisonment if convicted after trial.


The above cases are being handled by District Attorney Grome Antonacci, Deputy Chief Susan Azzarelli and Senior Assistant District Attorney Courtney Venditte.


All charged individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty
