Auburn, NY- District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced today that Christopher LIDDLE, 35, of the Town of Fleming, New York, pled guilty to one count of Attempted Assault in the Second Degree, a Class E Felony, in Cayuga County Court before the Honorable Thomas G. Leone.
The indictment alleges that on or about July 17, 2023, LIDDLE, with intent to prevent a uniformed Auburn police officer from performing his lawful duties, caused physical injury to that officer during a foot pursuit. Specifically, LIDDLE admitted during the plea that he intentionally fled from officers, which resulted in injury to an officer who was attempting to place him under arrest on an unrelated warrant. The officer sustained injury to his arm during the pursuit.
LIDDLE is scheduled to be sentenced on January 4, 2024. He faces an indeterminate term of imprisonment of 2-4 years, which will run consecutively to his parole violation by operation of law.
