Guilty Plea in Owasco Robbery

Auburn, NY- District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced today that Jason MCDEID, 33, of Auburn, New York pled guilty to one count of Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class C Violent Felony, in Cayuga County Court before the Honorable Thomas G. Leone.

The indictment alleges that on or about November 16, 2022, MCDEID, along with his co-defendant, Alissa REYNOLDS, 37, of Auburn, New York, forcibly stole property, consisting of a wallet, from the victim. The robbery took place at the victim’s home located in the Town of Owasco.


MCDEID is scheduled to be sentenced on October 26, 2023. He faces a determinate term of imprisonment of 8 years followed by 5 years of post-release supervision. REYNOLDS entered a plea to one count of Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class C Violent Felony, on August 21, 2023 and is scheduled to be sentenced on October 26, 2023 to a determinate term of 3 years of incarceration to be followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.


The investigation was handled by members of the New York State Police. The case was handled by Deputy Chief District Attorney Susan Azzarelli.
