Sentencing in Bar Shooting

Auburn, NY - District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced today that Zachariah MCKOY, 30, of Geneva, New York was sentenced to 14 years determinate and 5 years of post-release supervision before the Honorable Thomas G. Leone today. McKOY previously pled guilty to the entire indictment pending against him, which included one count of Assault in the First Degree, a Class B Armed Violent Felony, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Class C Armed Violent Felony on September 21, 2023.


The charges arose when MCKOY and his co-defendant, Antoine CLARK, fired at each other during an argument outside of Lavish Lounge Bar and Restaurant on June 26, 2022. An employee was caught in the crossfire and was shot multiple times causing serious physical injury. The co-defendant, CLARK, previously pled guilty to two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and was sentenced to a 15-year determinate prison sentence, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.
