Auburn, NY - District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced today that RAHKEAL JONES, 21, of the City of Syracuse, was indicted by a Cayuga County Grand Jury on one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, for actions that occurred on September 4, 2023. The indictment alleges that JONES, along with a juvenile co-defendant, entered Dick’s Sporting Goods in the Town of Aurelius and stole more than $4,000 worth of merchandise. She was immediately taken into custody by members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office. JONES faces a maximum prison sentence of 2 1/3-7 years if convicted. JONES remains remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail pending arraignment before County Court at a date to be determined.\

All charged individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty
